The Carr Family has owned and operated the Echo Basin Resort since 2016 and during that time has been proud to continue the property’s great legacy by hosting over 100 weddings, 2,200 cabin renters, and over 12,000 RV guests. 

At our resort, we understand the importance of family, and we’re here to help you create lasting memories. 

Nestled in the heart of Southwestern Colorado at the foot of the San Juan Mountains, and close proximity to Mesa Verde National Park, our picturesque resort offers a great base camp location for adventure seekers, families, couples, and lovebirds alike. With cozy cabin rentals, full-hookup RV sites, a seasonal Bar & Grill, banquet facilities, and enchanting wedding venue, we cater to your every need. 

Directions to Echo Basin Resort

Go 24 miles west on 160 until you see a large blue Echo Basin Resort sign on your left. Turn RIGHT on CR 44/Echo Basin Road. Drive another 3.2 miles north on a paved road to Echo Basin Resort entrance.

Go approx 15 mile east on 160. After passing through Mancos, drive another 2.4 miles on 160 until you see a large blue Echo Basin Resort sign on your right. Turn LEFT on CR 44/Echo Basin Road. Drive another 3.2 miles north on paved road to Echo Basin Resort entrance.

La Plata Hwy/NM-170/140 for 23.3 miles to Hesperus (Hwy 170 turns into Hwy 140—crossing into Colorado).

Turn LEFT onto Hwy 160W for 14.1 miles until you see a large blue Echo Basin sign on your left. Turn RIGHT on CR 44/Echo Basin Road. Drive another 3.2 miles north on a paved road to Echo Basin Resort entrance.

Go North on I25 to Bernalillo Exit US 550 west to Durango. Then follow directions from Durango.

Return to Hwy 160. Turn RIGHT and go east for 9.8 miles. Stay RIGHT at Mesa Verde National Park Exit. Turn left on Mesa Top Ruins Rd. Proceed about a 1 mile to reach museum/park headquarters. Allow 45 minutes drive time to reach the dwellings within the park.
